Boys Samuel and Rajesh are close friends. For those who are interested in the game of cricket, because they do not have the facilities to buy bats, they play with bats made of coconut bats, old logs etc. But the boy Samuel wishes to somehow buy a good pad. But, due to family circumstances, his parents could not buy him a bat. However, Samuel develops an insatiable desire for a cricket bat and embarks on an effort to buy one. So his close friend Rajesh is blamed for the theft.

Even though the blame for the theft falls on the innocent Rajesh who has done nothing wrong, the boy Samuel, regardless of it, is diverted by his desire to buy a cricket bat, whether he buys a cricket bat or realizes his mistake, ‘Siruvan Samuel’ tells us close to our hearts as a children’s biographical work.

Ajithan Thavasimuthu, the boy who plays the role of Samuel, is amazing to express his feelings through his eyes, even though he doesn’t speak much. There is compassion in his eyes as he longs not to see his friend Rajesh, but also anger in Samuel in the scenes where Rajesh, who has done no wrong, is punished. Ajithan Thavasimuthu conveys all the desires of children and the efforts they make to achieve them at an age when they don’t know what is good and what is bad.

KG Vishnu, who plays the role of Samuel’s friend Rajesh, has an innocent face and a strange look, and has shown all kinds of emotions without any fear. Be it playing cricket with friends or punishing him for stealing, he acts naturally in all the scenes and commands attention.

Children playing other roles, actors playing the roles of parents, actresses, and the girl playing the role of a Tucson teacher in the film are not only newcomers but also down-to-earth people, which adds strength to the film.

Cinematographer V. Sivanand Gandhi has shown a simple village in Kanyakumari district without changing its simplicity and originality, which will surely give a new experience to the viewers. Cinematographer Sivanand Gandhi, who has beautifully depicted the simplicity of the plot and the actors’ performances, has veered off the path of conventional cinema.

Music by S.Sam Edwin Manohar and J.Standley John has accompanied the story. Their work is also gaining attention as they reflect the feelings of the scenes through their music.

Directed by Sathu Ferlington, this film is entirely for children and a realistic work that reflects their lives, amid films that make them look like grown-ups in the name of children’s films.

Although it is a film about the life of children, the highlight of the film is that the director Nagarkovil Vattara, who has handled the screenplay and scenes without changing the nature of the plot and the actors and actresses, has handled the Tamil very well.

Another advantage of the film is that all the actors and actresses who have acted in the film are not only newcomers, but also natives of the land and not just faces for the cinema. Although this film has already won many awards, it is sure to win many more awards and will definitely give a new experience to the fans.

All in all, ‘Siruvan Samuel ‘ is not only a children’s film but also a unique venture that cinema fans will celebrate.
