Manikandan, who works in an IT company, has a major problem with snoring in his sleep. Hence, he is ridiculed and humiliated by everyone from his office to his neighbors. Heroine Meetha Raghunath comes into Manikandan’s life who is saddened by the loss of his love due to this snoring problem. Both fall in love and get married.

Manikandan, who starts his married life happily, snoring problem also causes problems in his married life. Did the minor conflicts that result, at some point, lead to the separation of the husband and wife, and their domestic life continued? Or broken? ‘Good night’ is not just a joke but a close to heart way of relating to our lives.

Manikandan, who is playing the hero, has acted very naturally in every scene and has added strength to the scenes. Manikandan, who delivers gut-wrenching laughs at many points through body language and dialogue delivery, intimidates the office and family members by snoring, humiliates and disturbs the performance. Expressing all the feelings like sadness, happiness, love and conflict in a very normal manner, Manikandan has lived as Mohan, a young man from a middle class family in his every move.

Meetha Raghunath, who plays the female lead, perfectly fits the role of a woman who has faced many losses in her life. Although he doesn’t speak much, his calm eyes speak volumes.

Ramesh Tilak, who is playing the lead role, is competing with Manikandan. The actor, who plays jovial throughout the film, is troubled by the scene where his wife is admitted to the hospital.

Director Balaji Sakthivel playing the role of grandfather, Kausalya Natarajan playing the role of grandmother, Raichel Rebaga playing the role of Ramesh Thilak’s wife, Bux playing the role of an IT company manager, Uma Ramachandran playing the role of Manikandan’s mother, all the actors in the film have done justice to their characters.

Cinematographer Jayant Sethu Madhavan has shot the scenes very elegantly in such a way that most of the scenes of the film are set as if they are happening inside the house. Cinematographer Jayant Sethu Madhavan has added strength to the screenplay by displaying the three houses in a way that reflects the characters, along with the heroine’s house, the hero’s house and the house where the two are together.

Shane Roldan’s music has songs and background music that travel along with the story. Music director Shane Roldan, who has worked inseparable from the story, adds tremendous strength to the film.

Cinematographer Bharath Vikraman has meticulously edited the scenes to bring even the smallest expressions of the actors to the attention of the audience. Especially Manikandan and Ramesh Tilak’s handling of the scenes to make people laugh even at the smallest words is commendable.

Director Vinayak Chandrasekaran has given an excellent film with snoring as the focus, which can be enjoyed as a family.

Director Vinayak Chandrasekaran, who has given importance to all the actors in the film, not only the hero and the heroine, has done a great job with everyone, and even the puppy is getting applause by playing the dog.

Even though it is a very ordinary scene, the way it is designed so that the viewers can enjoy and laugh and celebrate it, and handling all the things like love, sadness, happiness, anger and conflict in a natural and balanced way moves the film without any hesitation.

Another special feature of the film is that the actors, who have given life to the scenes designed to make the viewers travel along with the story from the beginning to the end, get into our eyes as each character and become close to our hearts.

All in all, ‘Good Night’ occupies an important place in the list of the best films of Tamil cinema.
