‘Theiva Machan’ press conference – A comic story told by Pandiyarajan who loved the respect of ‘Theivathiru’
Produced by Uday Productions and Magic Touch Pictures, producers Udayakumar, Geetha Udayakumar and M. B. Veeramani’s co-produced film ‘Theiva Machan’. Directed by debutant director Martin Nirmal Kumar, the film stars Vimal, Pandiyarajan ‘Adukalam’ Naren, Bala Saravanan, Anitha Sampath, Vatsan Veeramani, Deepa Shankar, Kicha Ravi and others. Gamel J Alex has cinematography for this movie by Godwin J. Godan has composed the music. Aziz has scored the background music for the film. The preview of the film has been released and it has reached a record of more than three million views. This movie is released by PVR Pictures.
A press meet was held at the Kamala Theater complex in Chennai to promote the film which will be released in theaters on 21st April. The film crew including producers Udayakumar, Vatsan Veeramani, actor Vimal, actor Pandiyarajan, actress Anita Sampath, actress Deepa Shankar, actor Kicha Ravi, lyricist Arun Bharti, editor Ilayaraja and director Martin Nirmalkumar were present.
Producer Udayakumar said, “We have produced this film ‘Theiva Machan’ in collaboration with our film company Uday Productions and Magic Touch Pictures. It is being prepared as a full-length comedy film based on a village background. Fans will watch it in theaters and laugh and enjoy it. This movie will be the big hit for actor Vimal after ‘Vilangu’. All the actors and actresses including Pandiyarajan, Anitha Sampath, Deepa Shankar have given complete cooperation in this movie.
Actor Pandiyarajan said, “There is a wonderful relationship in the word machan. Wife’s younger brother or elder brother. In Tuticorin region, when fishermen go down to the sea for pearl bathing, they tie a rope around their waist and before jumping into the sea, they give the other end of the rope to a relative called machan and jump with confidence. The one who jumps into the sea for a pearl, even if he finds it… even if he doesn’t find it… he is the one who pulls the rope, knows its technique and brings it up from the sea.
