Vels Film International Limited, one of the leading film production companies in the Tamil film industry, is engaged in stock market trading. The company’s shares are listed on the National Stock Exchange today.
A special opening ceremony was held at Nakshatra Hotel in Chennai. Gauri Shankar, Head, South Zone Business Unit, National Stock Exchange, was the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by Vipin Aggarwal of Kambata Securities Ltd., who provides technical assistance in the stock market trading of Vels Film International Ltd., Sundarrajan, the company’s financial auditor, Dr. Isari K Ganesh, Chairman of Vels Film International Ltd., Ashwin, Chief Executive Officer, Vice Chairman of Vels Film International Ltd. Preeta Ganesh was also present as a special guest.
Also in this ceremony, to appreciate the efforts of the company Vels Film International Limited, which is listed for the first time in the National Stock Exchange, the leading star actors of the Tamil film industry such as Sarathkumar, Jayam Ravi, Vikram Prabhu, Jeeva, Hiphop Adi, Aary Arjunan, Aarav, Prasanth and other actors, director and actor Sundar C, Prasamdu, RV Udayakumar, R. K. Selvamani, Gaurav Narayanan, Actress Sangeeta Girish, Directors Gokul, A. L. The Vels Group was initially launched as the Vels Education Foundation when I was in college. Started as Nursing Training College in 1992 with 39 students and 10 staff members. At present there are 43 institutes and approximately 40 thousand students are studying. This progress and development has taken place in thirty years.
At a young age, I visited the set of the movie “Rikshakaran” starring revolutionary leader MGR with my father, actor Isari Velan. Since then till now.. I have been associated with Tamil film industry for almost 45 years.
When I was studying in my second year in Pachaiyappan College, I made a film called ‘Vakumoolam’.
Apart from production, I have acted in 25 to 30 films. I have produced 25 films. So I have gained good experience in the film industry and trust in the film industry. Due to this we are currently engaged in stock market business with public participation.
In 2019 I started a company called Vels Film International Limited. Currently our company is listed on National Stock Exchange. Our initiative was delayed by one year due to the corona virus. Our plan has come to fruition after three years.
Many people have expressed interest in buying our company shares on the first day of trading in the stock market. We fixed the opening price of our stock at Rs.99/- and currently it is trading at Rs.106. I have now started learning the subtleties of stock market trading directly. Hopefully we’ll be able to specialize in this soon.
Our company excels in providing quality works in entertainment industry. I would like to thank the investors who have invested in our shares. He said that he will try to give an incentive called dividend to the investors soon.

Our company not only focuses on film production but also film distribution and cinema screening.
On behalf of our company, we have developed a shooting complex and an indoor amusement park with technical facilities in Bangalore which is going to be opened for public use in June. Vels Film International Limited owns 77 percent of the Jollywood theme park.
