After being unable to release Shaakuntalam on 4th November 2022 and 17th February 2023, tha makers have announced a fresh date of April 14. Directed by decorated director Gunasekhar, actress Samantha plays the lead role of Shakuntala, a rebellious young woman who is unafraid to speak her mind. The film follows Shakuntala as she falls in love with a royal prince and learns the importance of loyalty and honoring her commitments. Along the way she must confront her own inner demons and face the consequences of her choices.
The movie also stars actors like Dev Mohan, Mohan Babu, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, Prakash Raj, Gautami. Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha makes her debut as prince Bharata with this film.
The soundtrack of this movie is another treat for fans. The album features the melodious voices of singers like Chinmayi, Sid Sriram,, Ramya Behera, Anurag Kulakarni. The music composed by the veteran Mani Sharma will keep the listeners enthralled.
