Kamal Haasan who recently announced his political tour has named the journey as Naalai Namathe.
He also admitted that this name will remind people of former Chief Minister MG Ramachandran’s film Naalai Namathe.
‘My dream is to reclaim the land for the Tamils. ‘Naalai Namathe’ stands for just that,’ he said.
He added that he would adopt a village in the state and turn into a model by making it self-sufficient and providing education to the doorsteps of the villagers to save them the trouble of migrating to cities.
He stressed the need for clean drinking water, sanitation and a strong transport network. ‘If my model village inspires the government to get down to field work, I will consider my job done,’he said.
