Sakka Podu Podu Raja is the story of how the hero helps his friend’s love and also succeeds in his own love.
Santhanam kidnaps the sister of Sampath, a gangster and gets her married to his friend Sethu. Since Sampath’s men are on the hunt for Santhanam, he moves to Bengaluru.
Here he meets Vaibhavi and falls in love with her. Though she initially refuses his proposal she starts loving him later.
When things seem to be going well, Santhanam finds out that Vaibhavi is the second sister of Sampath. What happens after this, did Santhanm get married to Vaibhavi and what happened to Sethu and his lover forms the rest of the story.
Santhanam looks handsome as a hero and does some gravity defying stunts and mouths a few one-liners which the audience expect from him.
However, he seems to be finding it difficult to break his comedian image. In the search of becoming a full fledged action hero, Santhanam has suppressed his humour. However, he has drastically improved his dancing skills and expressions.
Vaibhavi comes just as a glam doll and has nothing much to do in the movie. Debutant director G L Sethuraman has tried to project Santhanam as a full fledged action hero and has done a decent job.
However, he could have concentrated more on the screenplay.
The rest of the cast have done their part decently and have contributed to the flow of the movie.
STR’s songs and BGM music are one of the biggest strengths of the movie and have come out well. To sum it up, Sakka Podu Podu Raja is an entertainer for the younger generation.
