Chennaiyil Oru Naal 2 Movie Review

Sarathkumar Chennaiyil Oru Naal 2 Movie Review
After the success of Chennai Oru Naal, the team has come up with its sequel which was the last addition in the Deepavali race.

Sarathkumar, a top cop in Chennai, is transferred to Coimbatore. There he becomes the caretaker of his uncle’s one son and two daughters.

During this time, posters posing questions on ‘when will Julie die, today or tomorrow?’ cause panic among the public. Following this the City Commissioner Napolean hands over the case to Sarathkumar.

During the investigation several startling revelations are made. Sarathkumar is threatened that the kids whom he takes care of will be murdered.

What happens after this, does Sarathkumar find the people behind all these and their motive forms the rest of the story.

Playing a cop is not new to Sarathkumar and he has done it with ease. He has carried the entire movie on his shoulders with his natural and composed acting.

Napolean also plays an important character and has delivered what was needed.

Similarly Suhasini Mani Ratnam and Munishkanth have done justice to their respective characters.

The movie has an interesting story (by ace writer Rajesh Kumar) however is let down by the screenplay at a few places. Director JPR has extracted the best out of all the characters in the movie.

Music by Jakes Bejoy is average. To sum it up, Chennaiyil Oru Naal 2 is a good storyline which is pulled down by the screenplay.

Rating: 2.5/5 – Good, could have been better
