VIP 2 Movie Review

Dhanush Kajol in VIP 2 Movie Review
Riding high on the success of VIP, the sequel to the movie has hit the screens and let’s find out if the flick has lived up to the expectations.

Dhanush who completes the project that he took over in part one, receives the best engineer award in a function.
Except for that award, all the other honours go to the construction firm run by Kajol. She tries to pull Dhanush to her company, however he opts to remain loyal to his old boss.

This angers Kajol and she starts taking her revenge by pressurising the firm in which Dhanush works and in the process canceling a few projects that was signed by that company.

Following this, to save the organisation, from further trouble, Dhanush resigns his job and challenges Kajol that he will come up with his own identity – ‘VIP’.

Did Dhanush succeed in his challenge, what are the troubles that Kajol causes to him later forms the rest of the story.

As usual Dhanush has shown his natural acting skills. Be it the scenes where he challenges Kajol or the romantic scenes with his wife Amala Paul, he has shown why he is one of the best in the industry.

His dialogue deliveries and body language have added to the mass scenes in the movie.

Kajol, who has acted in a Tamil film after Minasara Kanavu has carried the attitude which her character needed. She has suited to play her role well.

Amala Paul, Samuthirakani, Hrishikesh and Vivekh who were retained from the first part have carried over from where they have left and have done their roles to perfection.

Sean Roldan’s BGM is good but could not match the energy which the original track gave. However, he has managed to use the VIP Theme in an effective manner.

Director Soundarya Rajinikanth has tried to give an emotional and mass movie with the right mix and has almost succeeded in achieving it. She has perfectly used the links from the first part and has carried their continuity in the sequel.

VIP2 is a movie which has more mass entertaining moments that can be enjoyed by the audience.

Raring: 3/5 – A near perfect sequel
