In a shocker to many, it was announced on Monday that Shruti Haasan would not be part of Sangamithra, a magnum opus of director Sundar C and Sri Thenandal Films.
Different versions are doing rounds about the actress not being part of the much expected movie.
Shruti’s spokesperson said, “Shruti has, unfortunately, had to take a call not to be part of Sangamithra. Knowing it was a massive undertaking and a long commitment spanning over two years, she knew the importance of her training, a comprehensive script and proper date calendar.”
“Despite her enthusiasm and commitment to ‘Sangamithra’, she has had to give the film a miss since she had not received a proper bound script nor a proper date calendar,” the spokesperson added.
But a tweet from Sri Thenandal Films said, “Due to unavoidable circumstances, we are unable to proceed with working with Shruti Haasan in Sangamithra.”
