Kollywood captains stage protest for Jallikattu
Leaders of various bodies of Tamil film industry attended a protest in Chennai, organised in support of Jallikattu. Tomorrow, the Nadigar Sangam will hold a hunger protest for this.
Tamil Film Producers Council president Kalaipuli S Thanu, filmmakers Bharathiraja, Vikraman, R K Selvamani among others spoke.
Tomorrow, there will be no shows in theatres, expressing solidarity with the protests demanding the removal of ban against Jallikattu.
Almost all top actors, including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith, Vijay and Suriya are expected to attend the fast protest of Nadigar Sangam.
In a visual statement, Kamal said that usually the politicians are known to instigate students to fight for causes but this is the first time that the students are forcing the rulers to act.
“These boys and girls are braving all odds to fight for our rights. They are our real heroes. No one has the right to stop their peaceful protests,” he said.
