Cho Ramaswamy passes away

Close friend and advisor to Jayalalithaa and many other top politicians, Ramaswamy breathed his last at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, where he was admitted recently following breathing troubles.

Srinivasa Iyer, popularly known as Cho Ramaswamy, breathed his last at 4:15am at Apollo Hospitals, where he was admitted. He is survived by his wife, a son and daughter.

People from various walks of life have been paying tributes to his body, which has been kept at his MRC Nagar residence.

He was widely considered to be an unbiased political analyst who would criticize the negatives of both the left wing and right wing political parties.

He was the founder and editor of the Tamil magazine, Thuglak. His popularity in the Tamil Nadu literary circles is mainly due to his assessment of political issues, and the audacity with which he publishes his viewpoints.
