Though Kavya Madhavan and Dileep are basically Malayalam actors, they are popular in Tamil Nadu too. And on Friday, they entered wedlock at a private ceremony in Kochi.
As they had acted together in more than 20 films, there were rumours linking them. Ealrier, while Kavya was married to an NRI called Nischal Chandran, Dileep was married to actress Manju Warrier.
Their wedding was a traditional ceremony and it was attended by Mammootty, Siddhique, Jayaram, Meera Jasmine, director Joshiy, Siddique, Lal, producers Suresh Kumar, Renjith Rejaputhra among others, besides family members of Kavya and Dileep. A grand reception is expected to be hosted in Dubai.
Meanwhile in a statement, Dileep said: “I am here to tell you about a big event happening in my life today. I am getting married today. When I thought of a marriage, I discussed it with my daughter, her mother, my friends and family and arrived at a decision.”
“My partner is a person who has been linked to me in gossip magazines. I earnestly hope all Malayalis and people around the world who love me would shower your blessings on us and remember us in your prayers. Please do not create controversies out of this. Bless us instead,” he added.
