Karthi is riding high on the success of his Deepavali release Kaashmora, which is not only fairing well in Tamil but has also collected close to Rs 15 crore in Telugu as well.
The actor in one of his recent interviews said that they did not expect such huge response from the audience. ‘They enjoyed the historical portions and the character of Rajnayak thoroughly. Being a socio-fantasy flick, there was enough scope to perform,’ he said.
Commenting on the laurels that Suriya heaped on him, Karthi said that he is happy that his brother enjoyed the movie. ‘He told me that he has not laughed so hard recently.’
Asked if he liked playing negative role, Karthi said , ‘I would love to do a full fledged villain role if Suriya is the hero.’
Karthi is currently busy with the shooting for Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai.
