With Superstar Rajinikanth returning to the shoot for the magnum opus ‘2.0’ directed by Shankar the makers are targeting 2017 Deepavali as the release date.
The cast and crew of the movie including director Shankar and Superstar celebrated Aayudha Pooja at the shooting spot in Thirukazhukundram on Monday.
With a major portion of the shooting already completed the team is planning to unveil the first look of the movie on 20 November.
It is reportedly said that the team is looking to wrap the shooting by mid-December and to begin post-production from January.
Directed by Shankar, the movie also stars Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson among others in the cast. Music is by Oscar award-winning composer A R Rahman and cinematography by Nirav Shah and the film is bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
Sound engineer of the movie Resul Pookutty has said that “Technically, the action in ‘2.0’ is a high level of achievement. I went to the set and what I saw was amazing. I’ve gone through the narration and the previews. Next year most of my time will be invested in creating 2.0.”
