KGR in association with ACE Events organised a grand musical tribute to Mellisai Mannar MS Viswanathan “Engeyum Eppothum – A Musical Tribute to MSV”. This was held at Vani Mahal, Chennai, Legendary actresses Ms. B.Saroja Devi and Ms. Jamuna commenced the programme by lighting the traditional Kuthu Vilakku in the presence of Chief Guest Mrs P.Susheela. LR Eswari, Shri.Sirgazhi Siva Chidambaram, Veteran actress Ms. Sachu and many more.
Actor Chinni Jayanth before singing “Naan Oru Kuzhandai Nee Oru Kuzhandai” said, MSV as a musician had a reputation of making actors too sing. Reciting a poem dedicated to MSV, he said legendary composers like him would continue to live in the hearts of the fans forever. He also mentioned that he had the blessing of performing in front of MSV himself.
All the artists and senior singers present shared their experiences of working with the Legend. Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Jayshree Chinne said, “We are extremely honored to present this Musical Tribute to MSV with almost 30 songs covering various musical genre’s like patriotism, devotion, pathos, melody, folk, western and romance .We wanted to present the versatality of his music !! We are sure this was appreciated by Music lovers who graced the occasion”.
Singer Anantu who sang “Mounamme Parvayal” said ‘composer of the world’ would be befitting title for the music legend as his compositions will continue to rule the hearts of the people until the world exists. Every MSV moment was well received with applause by the gathering. ACE events is looking at bringing more of such events to the delight of music lovers in the city.
