The film ‘Iraivi’ was about women’s freedom in relationships. The question of why a woman always gives up her freedom to a man was a question I had since my childhood. I wanted to write a love story. Even my wife at home would ask me why I always watch violent films… take them… why don’t you make a love film?
I wrote the story of ‘Retro’ many years ago. I don’t want to tell the whole story. Usually, more than four hundred people work on a film. When we go to the cinema hall, we have done some kind of magic for the fans. I don’t share many details about the film because I want to give that experience to the audience in the cinema hall. Come to the theater without any expectations. You will definitely like this movie.

I firmly believe that the characters I write have a soul. Stories come from the people we meet.
After completing the shooting of Jigarthanda Double X, Suriya sir and I met. I am a fan of Suriya sir. ‘Mounam Pesyathe’ released in his performance is my favorite film.
