A grand press meet for Malaysian Tamil hip-hop rapper, lyricist, and music producer Kidd Santhe’s latest song “Naa Vera Level” was held today in Chennai. The song has been officially released by leading music label Sony Music India.
Kidd Santhe is celebrated as one of the leading voices in the emerging Malaysian Tamil hip-hop scene. His signature rap style blends Tamil, English, Malay, and Punjabi, making his music unique and appealing to a global audience.
From a young age, Kidd Santhe developed a passion for beatboxing and music. At just 16 years old, he began producing songs and gained recognition through SoundCloud. He later collaborated with several Malaysian hip-hop groups and released multiple hit tracks. Today, he is regarded as one of the promising young talents in the global “Desi Hip-Hop” movement.
He earned popularity through songs and albums such as API, SAMPAH, Ambani Money, and Penjenayah. In particular, Ambani Money reflected Indian culture, influence, and youth energy through a stylish hip-hop presentation.
His latest album song, “Naa Vera Level”, inspired by Indian cultural themes, was officially launched today in Chennai.

Director Parthiban Ravi said:“First of all, I would like to thank God, Sony Music Malaysia, and Sony Music South for this opportunity. This is my first international album project. Although I have already worked on two music videos with Sony Music, this project is extremely special and close to my heart.”
He thanked Kidd Santhe for trusting him to bring the artist’s vision to life. He also appreciated Dilipan, Guna, and Ray for their immense support and contribution toward the making of the album. Sony Music Representative Revathi Mariappan Speaks
Speaking on behalf of Sony Music, Revathi Mariappan congratulated Kidd Santhe on his first international Tamil music release.
She mentioned that the album was initially planned to be shot in Malaysia, but Kidd Santhe suggested filming it in Chennai, which received strong support from Sony Music.
She said:“The love and support we received from Tamil Nadu moved us deeply. We sincerely thank everyone who warmly welcomed a Tamil artist from Malaysia.”
She added that the song was created through the hard work of a large team over several months, involving hundreds of artists beyond just technology and production. According to her, Kidd Santhe’s success is not just personal but also a hopeful beginning for many Tamil artists in Malaysia.
She concluded by stating that Tamil Nadu has always been a land that recognizes talent and expressed confidence in presenting the song to Tamil audiences.

Addressing the media, Kidd Santhe thanked everyone who came to support “Naa Vera Level” and expressed his gratitude to Sony Music South and Sony Music Malaysia for believing in him throughout the journey.
He praised director Ravi for transforming the storyboard into visually powerful scenes and thanked choreographer Akash for teaching him dance within just three days.
He also spoke about his friendship with Raavana Ram, which began through Instagram and eventually led to the creation of “Naa Vera Level” during a single studio session.
Explaining the core idea behind the song, Kidd Santhe said:“Through this song, I did not want to present myself as an actor or music composer. I wanted to showcase the real heroes of Tamil Nadu — auto drivers.”
He explained that during his first visit to Chennai, his car suffered a puncture, and an auto driver helped him change the tyre. That experience became the emotional foundation of the song.
According to him, “Naa Vera Level” is actually a tribute to auto drivers, who safely transport people every day while facing challenges such as rising fuel prices, maintenance expenses, and competition from bike taxis.
