India’s leading national OTT platform, ZEE5, is set to offer its fans a new experience with its next action series, which will take them on a journey into a dark world where the truth lies before our eyes, yet we cannot find it. The seven-episode crime thriller ‘Rekai’, with each clue designed to draw you deeper into the mystery, will be streaming from November 28.
While the series takes the core of the crime world created by renowned writer Rajesh Kumar, ‘Rekai’ is an original work created, written and directed by Dinakaran M. He has delved deep into the stories of Rajesh Kumar’s world and given the story a new psychological intensity.
How do you investigate when the living are recorded as dead?
A crime that starts out as a casual investigation by S.I. Vetri (Balahasan) and police officer Sandhya (Pavithra Janani) soon turns into a very serious investigation. An ice truck driver dies in an accident while driving. But Vetri finds a severed hand in the ice.
The search for success that begins there drags him into a vortex of medical experiments, secret networks, and terrifying truths. With each search and its answer opening even more terrifying doors, the line between hunter and hunted begins to blur.
The series is produced by S. Singaravelan under S.S Group Production. The series stars Balahasan, Pavithra Janani, Bhopalan Pragadesh, Vinothini Vaidyanathan, Sriram M, Anjali Rao, Indrajith E.
