A Chennai-based actor, Shane Nigam, wants to hold his wedding in his native village in Pudukkottai district. While the preparations for the same are going on in a hurry, Shane Nigam’s life changes its course in an unimaginable way due to an unexpected small accident. How?, how does he get affected by it, and will he recover from it in the end? Or not? ‘Medraskaran’ is an action thriller that tells the story in the style of an action thriller.
Malayalam actor Shane Nigam, who is making his debut as a hero in Tamil cinema, has handled the action storyline with gusto in his first film. The actor, who has acted as if he is old enough to speak to his aunts with ice, to speak affectionately to his mother, and to beg his girlfriend, has also made action scenes more impressive. But, what is clear in his dialogue delivery is that he is a Kerala native.
Although one word from Niharika, who plays the heroine, is the cause of all the problems, her screen presence in the film is very, very limited. To overcome that, the actress has been made to dance for a few minutes in a song from the film ‘Alaipayude’ to console her.
Kalaiyarasan, who plays a character that raises the question of whether Andy is a good or bad villain, has acted in a way that does justice to his character.
Aishwarya Dutta, who plays Kalaiyarasan’s wife, has acted in a way that adds strength to the screenplay even though she appears in a few scenes.
Karunas, who plays the hero’s maternal uncle, Pandiarajan, who plays the father, Geetha Kailasam, who plays the mother, Deepa, who plays the aunt, and Lallu, who plays the friend, all the actors in the film have contributed their part to add strength to the screenplay.
The wedding song in Sam.CS’s music is not only a recurring type but also suits the celebratory mood. Although the background music is a bit loud, it adds vigor to the fast-paced screenplay and action scenes.
Cinematographer Prasanna S. Kumar’s camera travels in sync with the pace of the scenes and displays the action scenes in a threatening manner.
The hard work of all the technical artists, including the editor R. Vasanthakumar, the stunt director, and the art director, is evident on screen.
Written and directed by Vali Mohan Das, he has given the thriller action genre a threat with raw scenes while keeping a small detail.
Although the most important thing in the film is action and emotion, the emotional scenes are not as impressive as the action scenes, which makes the screenplay a little weak. However, when the hero, who comes to know that he is not the reason for the mistake that happened, tries to find out the reason behind it, the film not only picks up speed, but also gives the audience a thrilling thriller experience.
Director Vali Mohan Das, who has satisfied the audience with his character design, choice of actors, the way he designed the action scenes, the way he handled the screenplay and scenes, has proven that he can attract attention with his making, no matter what the story is.
