The pre-release event of ‘GTN’, a biographical film celebrating the life of revolutionary industrialist, inventor, and philanthropist G.D. Naidu, was held today. Produced by Varghese Moolan Pictures in association with Tricolor Films, the film stars R. Madhavan, Sathyaraj, Dushara Vijayan, Aditi Balan, and several others. The movie is set to release on August 7.
Actor Murali said, “This is an important film for both India and Tamil Nadu. I play the character Mohan in the film. I request everyone to watch the movie in theatres on August 7. My thanks to the producers, Maddy sir, director Krishnakumar, and the entire team.”
G.D. Rajkumar said, “Aravind was the one who first planted the seed for making this story into a film. He introduced me to Krishna, who brought the story to me as a podcast. Although a few others had narrated the story earlier, Krishna’s version stood out because of the extensive research and effort he had put into it. That is why my parents immediately agreed to make it into a film. We have made a few modifications while adapting it. It is important that G.D. Naidu’s contributions reach the next generation. If you ask me how much of his life story in this film is true, I would say about 70%. My thanks to the producers who believed in this project, and to Madhavan sir. He is not just a fine actor but someone who explores every subject in great depth. Sathyaraj sir has also delivered an outstanding performance.”
Actress Aditi Balan said, “I thank the producers, director, and Madhavan sir for bringing me into this project. I play the role of Padmavathi, and the story of G.D. Naidu unfolds through my character. It was my wish to be part of this film in any role. Through this project, I learned so much about what an extraordinary inventor he was.
