The trailer of Angikaram, produced by Swasthik Visions and directed by Thenpathiyan — who previously worked as an assistant director to Pa. Ranjith — has been released and is receiving praise from both audiences and members of the film industry. The film introduces newcomer K.J.R as the lead protagonist.
Based on several real-life incidents and centered around athletics, the film focuses on the struggles faced by sportspersons and the harsh realities within the sports sector.
The recently released trailer showcases emotional scenes and powerful dialogues featuring an athlete who fights through the legal system seeking recognition for himself. These moments effectively reveal the film’s intense premise and have created strong anticipation among audiences.
It is noteworthy that a realistic courtroom set worth ₹75 lakhs was specially constructed for the film’s shooting.
Along with K.J.R in the lead role, the film also stars Viji Venkatesh, Ajith Goshi, Sindhuri Viswanath, Anthony, Rangaraj Pandey, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Mohan Ram in important roles.
The film’s music has been composed by Ghibran, while cinematography is handled by A. Viswanath. Action sequences have been choreographed by Peter Hein, editing is by Dineshkumar, art direction by Ramu Thangaraj, sound design by Sampath Alwar, and choreography by Sherif. These technical contributions have also drawn significant attention to the film.
