Ram under the banner of Parvatha Entertainment, and directed by and starring Ken Karunas in the lead role, the film “Youth”, which focuses on school-age life, was released on March 19 and has received a huge response. The film has been widely appreciated by audiences and cinema lovers, has crossed ₹50 crore at the box office, and is running to houseful shows in many theatres.
To celebrate the success of the film, which is running like a festival in theatres due to audience support, the team met the press and media yesterday to express their gratitude.

“‘Youth’ is my first film. But getting such a huge success with my very first project makes me extremely happy. ₹50 crore collection is an achievement. But an even bigger achievement is taking this film to all kinds of audiences. Today, it is not just successful in Tamil but also in Telugu, which makes me even more proud.
The journey of this film happened very quickly. We made bold decisions without overthinking. Sometimes if we think too much, we cannot make decisions. It is those bold decisions that led to this success.
There was a time when I didn’t even have two rupees. I used to ask my mother for ₹1000 or ₹2000 to survive. From that situation to standing on such a big stage today — this is not just my effort, but the support of many people. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make this film.
People who watched this film have watched it three times and even cried emotionally. That emotion is the biggest strength of this film. Beyond Tamil Nadu, the film has received a good response in Kerala, Karnataka, and Telugu regions as well. Especially in Telugu, even without recognition, strong marketing made it a big success. The main reason for this success is belief. What we received is more than what we expected — it is God’s grace.
Many ask, ‘What next after such a big success?’ For me, success is temporary, but gratitude is permanent. That’s why I wanted to conduct this thanksgiving event.
