Pradeep Ranganathan Starrer LIK Receives Huge Response

The film Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), starring leading young Tamil actor Pradeep Ranganathan and directed by popular filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, was released worldwide on April 10 and has been running successfully with a great response from fans and cinema lovers.

To celebrate the success of the film, which is receiving tremendous support in theatres, the film team met members of the press and media and expressed their gratitude.

Director Jagan said:

I got the opportunity to work on this film. I witnessed director Vignesh Shivan’s hard work in person, and it was truly inspiring. All of us have watched this film, but only when we see how people celebrate it in theatres do we understand its real success. That is the result of true dedication, and that dedication is fully felt only in theatres. I am very happy about that.

I especially want to congratulate my dear younger brother Pradeep Ranganathan. The love he has from the audience is immense, and he also has boundless love for his fans. Getting such a response by just his fourth film as an actor is a huge achievement. He has already won countless hearts. Earning money in this world is easy, but earning people’s love is very difficult. God has blessed him with that rare gift, and I am very happy about it.

I watched this film in many theatres, repeatedly from the first day. Everywhere, people treat him like their own family member.

I was one of the reasons Seeman acted in this film. Initially, I had doubts whether he would agree. Even Vignesh Shivan wondered if it would work. But once they got to know each other, they became inseparable friends. After watching the film, it feels like both of them have succeeded. I am proud to have been a reason for bringing together two such kind-hearted people.

The actresses in this film have worked with great dedication. Their sincerity, involvement, and effort are highly appreciable. They have an important role in this success.

Watching the film in theatres yesterday was a special experience. All shows were full. The audience’s energy and reception clearly show the film’s success. Behind every success, there is a secret—hard work. I have seen that in Vignesh Shivan and Pradeep.

I thank everyone who gave me the opportunity to work on this film.

Actress Gouri said:

First, I thank the press and media friends. I am very happy to see all of you here today. This is our thanksgiving meeting, and it has been a week since the film released. It continues to receive a good response.

Like every challenging film, this one also had its difficulties. But overcoming them and being appreciated for its quality gives us great happiness. This film is very important to me. I played a different character named “Kalki,” unlike anything I’ve done before. I feel very happy when people understand it and personally message me appreciating it.

One relationship that often goes unnoticed in our generation is friendship—and the love that grows from it. The beautiful friendship between “Vaas” and “Kalki” is a key aspect of this film.

On social media like Twitter and Instagram, we see mostly genuine and positive responses. There are some negative comments, but I don’t know why. People should come to theatres and experience the film directly.

This film is natural and real, and it should be enjoyed in that spirit without creating unnecessary negativity. It is a complete entertainer for families and friends this summer.

This is director Vignesh Shivan’s dream and vision. Cinematographer Ravi Varman’s visuals are a major strength. All the actors have worked hard. Pradeep’s performance will be another big success after his previous hits. Kriti is a wonderful addition to Tamil cinema and will be remembered for a long time.

Overall, it is a complete experience. We hope the good response continues and that we meet again soon at a grand success celebration.

Actress Deepika Venkatachalam said:

I prayed wholeheartedly for this film to succeed, and that wish has come true. I am grateful to stand here today.

More than being part of the film, I enjoyed it as an audience member. I have experienced it from multiple perspectives, which helped me understand the effort behind filmmaking.

We all have the freedom to express opinions, but there is a difference between sharing opinions and forcing them. I realized this deeply in the past few days.

I first thank Parvathi for giving me this opportunity and trusting me with the role. During shooting, I pushed myself through pain and challenges, and her support was crucial.

Initially, I thought my role “Tamil Selvi” was small, but after watching the film, I realized it is the heart of the story. I am very thankful for this opportunity.

Actor S. J. Suryah said:

I don’t know where to begin… I’ll start with Vignesh Shivan. His affection for me is immense. He would suddenly call and ask me to fly to Malaysia the next day for a scene, willing to spend crores just to make it better.

He gives a sweet kind of pressure—but it is always for the film and the audience. He ensures we don’t feel the struggles he goes through. His goal is to entertain and deliver quality. He strives for perfection in visuals, sound, costumes, and performances.

Messages are pouring in from all over the world—Malaysia, Singapore, Toronto. Even old friends are reconnecting.

Pradeep Ranganathan is truly blessed. His journey from nothing to stardom is inspiring. I believed years ago that he would become big, and today it has come true.

His look and performance in this film are among his best. Audiences are celebrating it hugely.

Anirudh’s music is a major strength. Love stories need both love and pain, and the songs beautifully deliver that emotion.

Kriti Shetty and Gouri have brought charm to the film. Kriti’s performance, dance, and effort in learning Tamil are commendable. Gouri has done a great job portraying the fine line between friendship and love.

Seeman’s presence creates a powerful impact in theatres.

The film’s message is that we should use modern technology but not let it control us. The joy of making people happy through art is unmatched.

Actress Kriti Shetty said:

Greetings to everyone here. My heartfelt thanks to Tamil media and audiences. I love the Tamil language and always wanted to learn it.

Many people said my character feels robotic, which made me happy because that was the intention—to reflect emotional disconnect in today’s digital world.

The film beautifully shows rare relationships where people accept and love you for who you are. I am proud to be part of such a meaningful film.

I visited multiple theatres on the first day and saw the audience’s happy response. It gave me great satisfaction.

Pradeep’s performance is very subtle and beautiful. Each time I watch the film, I discover something new.

Everyone in the team has worked very hard. Thousands of people contributed to this film, and I thank them all.

Actor Pradeep Ranganathan said:

Greetings to the media. This film’s journey lasted about 3–4 years. The story was narrated to me in February 2022.

There were many delays and changes in release dates. Usually, such delays reduce expectations, and I had doubts too.

But the release response surprised us. The opening was huge, and the audience’s love exceeded expectations. I thank everyone for supporting us despite all obstacles.

I especially want to thank three technicians—Ravi Varman, editor Pradeep Raghav, and Anirudh. Without them, this film wouldn’t be what it is today.

Director Vignesh Shivan said:

For me, the film’s release itself is a blockbuster. Dreaming big is not easy—you have to step out of your comfort zone.

Every frame in this film required effort—costumes, sets, VFX, makeup, dialogues—everything needed perfection.

We received both praise and criticism. Some felt it was slow, but high-concept films need explanation at the start. I take that as constructive criticism.

This is a love story presented differently. Seeing audiences applaud in theatres is the greatest joy.

Pradeep is the main reason this film happened. Despite budget challenges, his support made it possible.

I made this film without compromise. His dedication, discipline, and effort are remarkable—especially in physically demanding scenes.

I believe this film will run long and soon enter the 100-crore club.

I thank Kriti, Ravi Varman, the technical team, and all actors including S. J. Suryah and Seeman.

This film is the result of collective effort. Seeing audiences celebrate it is my biggest success. Thank you all.
