Vadam’ Audio Launch Held Grandly in Chennai
The audio launch of the upcoming Tamil film Vadam was held in a grand manner in Chennai. The film stars Vimal and Nataraj (Natti) in the lead roles and is directed by Kendhiran V. The film is produced by R. Rajasekar under the banner of Masani Pictures, with music composed by D. Imman.
The movie is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 6. Apart from the lead actors, the film also features Sanaska Sri, Munishkanth, Bala Saravanan, Naren, Madhusudhan Rao, Deepa, Indhumathi Manikandan and several others in important roles. The film’s cinematography is handled by Prasanna S Kumar and editing by Shabu Joseph.
Set against the backdrop of the rural bull sport Vadam Manju Virattu, the film blends village culture with commercial entertainment elements.
Speaking at the event, producer R. Rajasekar said he is new to the film industry and that the director first spoke about the importance of cattle before narrating the story. Being from a village background, he felt deeply connected to the theme and believed making a film about the bond between humans and cattle is a blessing.
Actor Munishkanth thanked the director for giving him the opportunity and praised co-actor Natti Nataraj for encouraging him during the shoot. He also mentioned that the song “Paandi Muni” in the film has a powerful vibe and appreciated composer D. Imman for it.
Director Kendhiran V said that he first narrated the script to composer D. Imman, who immediately agreed to compose the music after listening to the story. He also thanked the cast and crew and added that even the bull named “Paandi Muni” performed impressively during the shoot.
Actress Sanaska Sri shared that the director selected her for the role after seeing a photo she had posted on her WhatsApp status. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity and said working with actor Vimal made her feel comfortable despite being a newcomer.
Music composer D. Imman praised the producer’s dedication and hospitality during the production. He revealed that the film contains four songs written by lyricist Gnanakaravel and that he himself has sung one of the tracks after a gap. He also noted that the film includes a rare solo song for the heroine, highlighting women’s importance in the story.
Actor Natti Nataraj said he had already watched the film and was impressed with the storytelling. He described it as a rural story that explores human relationships and traditions, with Vadam Manju Virattu as the central theme.
Actor Vimal said he does not aspire to be a “mass hero” but prefers to be known as a hero with a good heart. He appreciated composer D. Imman for giving life to the film through music and praised the producer for his generosity and humanity during the shooting process.
The film is expected to appeal to family audiences and celebrate rural culture and traditions when it hits theatres on March 6.
