My Lord Thanksgiving Meet

Produced by Jayanthi Ambedkumar under Olympia Movies and directed by Raju Murugan, My Lord, starring Sasikumar in a powerful lead role, was released worldwide on February 13 and has been receiving tremendous appreciation.

Celebrated as a socially responsible and engaging film, it has earned widespread praise from both audiences and critics and continues to run in packed theatres. The film’s team met members of the press and media to express their gratitude.

Sean Roldan

Music composer Sean Roldan said he returned to thank everyone for the success of My Lord. He shared that while some films are simply professional assignments, a few carry a deeper responsibility—not just as a composer, but as a human being. He said he always feels that responsibility when working with Raju Murugan.

He described the director as a special creator who has presented political satire in a highly engaging and accessible way in this film. Sean thanked the team for giving him the opportunity and said that after Tourist Family, being part of another success with Sasikumar feels special.

He expressed gratitude to producer Ambedkumar for backing a socially meaningful project and said he believes the film will be a milestone in the career of Sathyaraj. While box office collections can be compared, he noted that only a few films stand the test of time—and My Lord will be one of them.

Producer Ambedkumar

Producer Ambedkumar said Sasikumar was the one who strongly insisted on organizing the thanksgiving meet despite their busy schedules. He praised Sasikumar for tirelessly working from before the release to ensure the film reached audiences.

He thanked director Raju Murugan and Sean Roldan for their heartfelt contributions and expressed appreciation to the media for continuously supporting and promoting the film. He added that the film is a satisfying success for him.

Director Raju Murugan

Raju Murugan thanked the media for understanding the film and sharing their responses. He acknowledged producer Ambedkumar as the driving force behind the project and thanked Sean Roldan for his constant support.

He reflected on how filmmaking has evolved—today, beyond writing and directing, filmmakers must actively work on promotions to ensure a film reaches the audience. Though he began his career as a journalist and once showed little interest in promotions, he admitted that times have changed and adaptation is necessary.

He thanked the media for their positive approach and encouragement and extended gratitude to collaborators including Neerav Shah and others who supported the film.

Sasikumar

Sasikumar thanked the media for helping take the film to the people and said he was truly happy to hear appreciation for his performance, as well as for co-stars including Chaitra J Achar and Guru Somasundaram.

He credited Raju Murugan for presenting him in a new light as an actor and thanked producer Ambedkumar for his wholehearted support. Though there was some concern about first-day collections, he remained confident due to strong word-of-mouth.

Recalling his experience with Ayothi, he said some films gain momentum in later weeks and expressed confidence that My Lord will follow the same path. He also thanked Suriya for appreciating and presenting the film, as well as the teams behind its television and OTT acquisitions.
