Speeches at the Event

Actor YG Mahendran said:

“Though my role in this film is small, I really liked the vibe the moment I heard the story. Watching the songs and trailer now, it’s clear that Mohan has taken this film to the next level. Congratulations to the cinematographer, music director, and all the technicians. This story is another Baahubali. It is a wonderfully made film with historical evidence that today’s youth should know. It speaks about tradition and national pride. I played the role of Ram Nami. Mohan has done extensive research for this film. The film will definitely be a success.”

Writer Aaruu Annal Kandar, author of Veera Vallala Maharaja, said:

“I am seeing my dream through Mohan. I have never seen anyone as confident as him. The story of Vallala Maharaja comes from the Sanskrit text Arunachala Purana, later translated into Tamil. During his rule, righteousness prevailed. Yet, Lord Shiva worried about the future of the kingdom and came to Earth as a devotee. To resolve Shiva’s concern, Vallala Maharaja ensured Shiva himself was born as his son. You will see this story elaborated in the film.”

“We’ve given our best. Thanks to the producer and Mohan. Watch the film and share your feedback.”

Producer Sola Chakravarthy said:

“Mohan completed the film in just 31 days. Shootings began at 9 AM and went on till night. Thanks to the media for their support.”

Director Mohan G said:

“This period film was made with sincerity. Without the technical team, completing it within 31 days and this budget would have been impossible. Richard worked 16 hours a day for a year without taking any salary. Rakshana was chosen after auditioning 25 actresses. The film does not intend to hurt Indian Muslims; it only portrays historical invasions. The film features three villains and is made in five languages. Draupathi 2 releases this Pongal. Bringing the history of Veera Vallala Maharaja to the screen is my pride. This film will satisfy everyone.”
