Producers’ Association Election Heats Up! – Growing Support for Tamilkumaran
The election for the office bearers and executive committee members of the Tamil Film Producers’ Association for the years 2026 to 2029 is scheduled to be held on February 22, 2026. The introductory meeting of the Producers’ Welfare Team led by G.K.M. Tamilkumaran was held on December 22, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Hotel Radha Park Inn. Kalaipuli S. Thanu, FEFSI President R.K. Selvamani, Professor A.S. Prakasam, V.C. Guganathan, music composer Deena, director Lingusamy, and director Saran attended the meeting as special guests.
At this event, Kalaipuli S. Thanu and FEFSI President R.K. Selvamani honored all the candidates, including the presidential candidate, contesting on behalf of the Producers’ Welfare Team, by presenting them with shawls. Directors Lingusamy and Saran also graced the occasion as special guests.
G.K.M. Tamilkumaran is contesting for the post of President. R.K. Suresh and S. Kamalakannan are contesting for the posts of Vice-Presidents.
R. Radhakrishnan and Kameela Nasser are contesting for the posts of Secretaries, while N. Subhash Chandra Bose is contesting for the post of Treasurer.
Sujatha Vijayakumar is contesting for the post of Joint Secretary. Along with senior producers Alagan Tamilmani, Chitra Lakshmanan, H. Murali, M. Ghaffar, and R. Madhesh, the following individuals are contesting for the executive committee member positions: Salai Sahadevan, Baija Tom, S. Jothi, V. Palanivel, K. Senthamarai Kannan, Nilgiris A. Murugan, G.M. Davidraj, T.N. Thaisaravanan, K. Murugan, V. Gnanavel, Pravinkanth, V.N. Ranjith Kumar, S. Jayaseelan, Raja @ Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed, M. Dhanashanmugamani, P.G. Balaji, Isakkiraja, P. Mahendran, S. Prabthees Shams, A. Ezhumalai, and S.N. Rajarajan.
The candidates were introduced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu. The special guests addressed the gathering and extended their best wishes to the candidates.
G.K.M. Tamilkumaran and R. Radhakrishnan spoke about the benefits that the association members would receive if their team wins and forms the administration. It is noteworthy that a large number of members attended this meeting and expressed their support for the team that would safeguard the interests of the producers.
