Paraasakthi” Film World Introduction Event!!

Produced by Aakash Baskaran under the banner of Dawn Pictures, the grand film “Paraasakthi”, starring Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa Murali, and Sreeleela, and directed by Sudha Kongara, is set for release.

Set against a 1960s historical backdrop, the film is being crafted as a unique cinematic experience that celebrates the pride of the Tamil language. Paraasakthi is scheduled for a worldwide Pongal release on January 14, 2026.

Presented by Inban Udhayanidhi, the film will be released worldwide by Red Giant Movies.

To recreate the world of the 1960s, the team has meticulously designed sets at Valluvar Kottam, featuring vintage cars, trains, a railway station set, and essential props from that era. This recreated “Paraasakthi World” has been transformed into a public exhibition, allowing audiences to experience the film’s universe even before its release.

This rare initiative—showcasing a film’s world to the public prior to release—has drawn widespread attention. The public can visit the Paraasakthi World exhibition for three days (December 19, 20, and 21).

The grand launch event of the Paraasakthi World took place at Valluvar Kottam Auditorium, attended by fans, the film team, film personalities, and members of the press, in a celebratory atmosphere.

Speeches at the Event

Director Sudha Kongara:

“Cinema allows us to live different lives. That is what I love most about it. Just as Irudhi Suttru took us into the world of boxing, Paraasakthi takes us back into our own history. The idea that we must fight for our rights deeply moved me. Every detail has been carefully recreated to bring that era back to life. It feels like we’ve lived in the 1960s and returned. I’m confident everyone will love this film.”

Music Director G. V. Prakash Kumar:

“Paraasakthi is a massive world. Sudha Kongara gave me a National Award with Soorarai Pottru. After a long gap, working together again feels special. This is a period film with a revolutionary spirit, and we’ve tried to bring that revolution alive through music. Thanks to Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, Sreeleela, and producer Aakash Baskaran for backing such a huge project. I truly believe audiences will love it.”

Actress Sreeleela:

“Paraasakthi is a very important film for me—it is my Tamil debut. Thank you, Sudha ma’am. Every object you see here has a story and meaning behind it, which you’ll understand when you watch the film. Please immerse yourselves in the Paraasakthi World and celebrate it.”

Actor Atharvaa Murali:

“An event like this doesn’t happen for every film. This is a truly grand project—GV Prakash’s 100th film, Ravi Mohan sir playing a villain, Sivakarthikeyan sir’s 25th film, and Sreeleela’s first Tamil film. It’s special for all of us. Thanks to producer Aakash for making this possible. I’m sure audiences will love the film.”

Actor Ravi Mohan:

“Everyone is talking about this film—it’s that grand. I had my hesitations initially, but the dedication of the entire team is extraordinary. Sudha ma’am took great care of me and brought me perfectly into the character. Aakash Baskaran has taken on the huge challenge of making a film with three heroes. Audiences will celebrate Atharvaa in this film, and it will be a turning point for him. Sreeleela will be admired as a fine actress. Being part of Sivakarthikeyan’s 25th film is a matter of pride. Paraasakthi will be an important film in Tamil cinema.

Actor Sivakarthikeyan:

“Sudha ma’am’s 1960s-based story is the reason this film happened. She worked on it for nearly 4–5 years. This film was challenging for everyone, but we all accepted it wholeheartedly. Atharvaa and I share a brother-like bond, and acting together is special. I warmly welcome Sreeleela to Tamil cinema. Ravi Mohan sir agreeing to play a villain despite being a successful hero is truly admirable. GV Prakash has completed 100 films with remarkable versatility. This film became my 25th only because of Aakash. With such a team and such a story, this is truly a blessing. Paraasakthi speaks about an important issue and blends love, affection, bravery, and revolution. It will be a grand Pongal celebration—do watch and enjoy.”

Paraasakthi releases worldwide on January 14, 2026, as a Pongal festive treat, presented by Inban Udhayanidhi and released by Red Giant Movies.
