Presented by Visarat Creations and directed by Anil V. Nagendran, the film “Veera Vanakam” is a wonderful commercial drama set against the historical backdrop of the struggle for oppression in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Caste-based oppression, which oppresses fellow human beings, is still going on across the country. But the trailer of the film “Veera Vanakam”, which is a film that honors the personalities who fought for justice against oppression in the past, which was worse than the current situation, and talks about their history, was released yesterday by the leader of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Nadu Party, Mr. Tholthirumavalavan. The trailer is receiving a great response from fans and film enthusiasts.
In a village in today’s Tamil Nadu, a beautiful friendship between a man and a woman from different communities is being ruined by caste-based attitudes. The film tells the story of P Krishna Pillai, a personality who actually lived in Tamil Nadu and Kerala and fought against the oppression of justice through a great man who stopped it.
In addition to talking about the progressive thinking and Dravidian ideology of Father Periyar, the film is a work that beautifully speaks of the cultural connection between Tamil Nadu and Kerala, and is a commercial film full of love, action scenes, and suspense.
Actor Samuthirakani plays the lead role in the film. Actor Bharath plays a role of a village elder that he has never played before. Ritesh, Prem Kumar, Ramesh Bisharadi, Surabi Lakshmi, P.K. Medhini, Adarsh, Siddhanthana, Aishwika, Aristo Suresh, and Siddique play important roles.
The film has been shot in Madurai, Nagercoil, Tirunelveli and Kerala.
The film has music by M K Arjunan, Perumbavoor G. Ravindranath, James Vasanthan, C.J. Kuttappan and Pancha Udayakumar. The film has a wonderful song sung by veteran Tamil playback singer T.M. Soundararajan’s son TMS Selvakumar.
With all the work of the film completed, it will be released in theaters worldwide on August 29th.
