Andhagan review

Prashant is a blind pianist. His ambition is to participate in a music competition in London. A person who earns money by taking piano lessons can get a job playing the piano in a bar. Through this, the actor goes to Kathik’s house to perform a small concert on his invitation. But when he goes there, many shocking incidents happen before Prashant’s eyes. What is it?, What kind of problem does Prashant, who is blind, get into trouble due to the events happening before his eyes?, does he escape from it? Isn’t it? It is ‘Anthagan’ that says this with scene after scene.

Prashant is seen as the hero after a short gap, but he appears on screen with the same youth and freshness. He has played the role of a blind person very naturally and has done even the smallest movements with great precision. Prashant’s acting is applauded everywhere, as Prashant gets nervous seeing unexpected events happening in front of his eyes, not revealing it, escaping from the one who wants to kill him, fearing the dangers around him, blind. Especially Prashant’s acting plays an important role in adding interest to the entire screenplay and has ensured his move to the top spot in Kollywood from now on.

Simran, who is playing a strong character, has tried to showcase her innovative performance in the available places and has succeeded in it. Although the aging look on her face at some points diminishes the appeal of Simi’s character, her action-packed performance makes up for it.

Priya Anand, who makes a sudden entry into Prashant’s life like an angel, is beautiful. He is on friendly terms with Prashant. He has acted beautifully in the scene where he expresses his anger when he realizes that he has been cheated.

Samuthirakani, who is playing the role of a police inspector, changes her face according to the situation and reacts in amazing scenes. Vanitha Vijayakumar, who plays his wife, has burst into the screen with her usual action despite appearing in a few scenes.

Navrasa hero Karthik, Poovaiyar, Urvashi, Yogi Babu and director KS Ravikumar who are acting for actor Karthik have been used well according to the twists and turns of the script.

Santhosh Narayan’s music all the songs give a pleasant concert experience. He has made a difference in the background music with a twist, keeping the background music moving as a character through soft instruments including the piano which plays an important role in the film.

Cinematographer Ravi Yadav’s camera has created a feast for the eyes by shooting all the scenes colorfully and grandly. He has shown the characters very beautifully and the colors used in each scene attract the fans.

Film editor Satish Surya has conveyed the twists and turns in the script to the fans without any confusion.

Although it is a remake of the Hindi blockbuster ‘Anthatun’, Thiagarajan, who has directed the film with many changes to suit Tamil, pulls us into the screen within a few minutes of the film’s opening. A twist that takes place within minutes of Prashant appearing blind, why is this? Makes him travel with the question. After that, what happens when Prashant goes to Kartik’s house is something unexpected. From that, what will happen?, what will happen? The subsequent scenes move with anticipation and new twists and turns in the screenplay keep our eyes glued to the screen.

Despite being a suspense thriller genre, director Thiagarajan, who manages to bring laughs every now and then with Manobala, Yogi Babu and Samuthirakani – Vanitha Vijayakumar, has given the film a magnum opus and an all-rounder.

Even the minor roles of the film are played by the leading actors which adds a lot of strength to the film. Director Thiagarajan, who has designed the screenplay with emphasis on all the characters, keeps us glued to the seat from the beginning to the end of the film.

Director Thiagarajan, who has directed the Hindi film ‘Anthadun’ with some changes to give a new experience to the people who have seen the film, has given a great thriller experience to those who have not seen the film with twists and turns.
