Though the makers of Raghava Lawrence starrer Shivalinga requested to postpone the release of Arya’s Kadmaban, it had to be denied because of Jayam Ravi.
Kadamban, Shivalinga and Power Paandi are in the fray for release on 14 April, the Tamil New Year’s Day.
A few days ago it was rumoured that the makers of Shivalinga had asked the postponement of Kadamban.
However in a recent meeting, the producer of Kadamban, RB Choudary said that though the Shivalinga makers requested him to postpone the movie,he was not in the position to do it.
‘Kadamban is based on the life of a tribal which has close resemblance to Jayam Ravi’s Vanamagan which is set to release on 12 May. Releasing both the films at the same time will lead to confusion which is why we could not postpone the release,’ he explained the reason behind his denial.
