No show for Kollywood Jayalitha dead
Following the death of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa on Monday night, Kollywood took a complete break from all film-related activities.

As a mark of respect to the deceased leader who was an yesteryear actress, all shootings that were scheduled forTuesday were cancelled.
Theatres across the state too cancelled shows.

This was the case for both multiplexes and single screen theatres, it is said.

It may be noted that as news of Jayalalithaa’s worsening health condition made its rounds on Monday evening, all activities were wrapped up by 10.30 pm
last night.

The chief minister passed away at Apollo Hospitals in Chennai, after a prolonged battle with her failing health.

She was admitted here towards the end of September for ‘dehydration’ and other ailments. Even as her supporters expected that she would recover,
she suffered a massive cardiac arrest on Sunday night, thereby complicating her condition.
