A series of mysterious murders are taking place in Chennai. Who are the dead? The police officer investigating the case is stumped, unable to find even a single clue about the psycho killer who follows the method of burning the bodies and throwing them in public places. On the other hand, the murders continue.
Meanwhile, the police officer investigating the case suddenly gets into an accident and goes into a coma. Due to this, the case is handed over to another police officer, the hero Naveen Chandra.
As soon as Naveen Chandra starts investigating the case, he gets a clue. With it, he finds out who the murdered people are, who the murderer is? How does he find out? Why so many murders? ‘Eleven’ answers the questions with an interesting screenplay and unexpected twists.
Like the connection between the title Eleven and the story, there is a mysterious knot in the title as well. What is it? and the story related to it increase the interest of the screenplay, and the twists in Who is the killer? prolong the suspense till the climax of the film and take the audience to the peak of excitement.
Naveen Chandra, who plays the hero, despite having a tight face and mentality, fits the character as if he was tailor-made for a police officer in the way he solves cases with clear thinking and fast action, and in the way he finds out who is the psycho killer?. He also falls in love with a woman and advises her with the same dignity and sends her away, proving that he is a complete action hero in every scene, body language, dialogue pronunciation, fight scenes, etc.
Abhirami, who plays the headmistress of the school, Thileepan, who plays the police sub-inspector, Rithvika, Rhea Hari, Aadukalam Naren, and Arjay, all the actors who play other roles are suitable for the character, and their characters are designed to travel with the screenplay, so even though it is a small role, they remain in the minds of the audience.
D. Iman, who has composed music for a crime suspense thriller genre film for the first time, has been clear that his style should not be visible anywhere. He has not given even the songs of the film in his usual style, but in a new form, and has used the background music in moderation and has traveled strongly to the film. For the audience, somehow, this must have been a new experience for the composer D. Iman.
Cinematographer Karthik Asokan’s camera has shot the night scenes neatly. Although it is a crime suspense thriller genre, the screenplay does not have many violent scenes, so the cinematographer has conveyed the emotions of the characters who are looking for him more accurately than the psycho killer.
Even though the killer is found out in a single meeting with the hero Abhirami, the film moves with suspense even after that, and the editor Srikanth.N.P. has edited the scenes perfectly so that the suspense related to the killer cannot be guessed.
Written and directed by Lokesh Ajiles, who raises the questions of who are the people being killed? And why are they being killed? In the first half of the film, he makes the audience travel with the film with the expectation of who is the killer? In the second half, he keeps the audience traveling with the film with the expectation of who is the killer? He breaks the suspense of who is the killer? In one place, he gives a twist in the next few minutes and keeps the audience sitting on the edge of their seats.
Although the screenplay is exciting and thrilling, with twists and turns until the final scene, director Lokesh Ajiles, through the calmness in the storytelling and visuals, has given the impression of watching a different crime suspense thriller genre film.
