The music and preview launch of the film ‘Tourist Family’, starring two famous stars, actors Sasikumar and Simran, was held in Chennai.
Directed by debutant director Abhishan Jeevin, ‘Tourist Family’ stars Sasikumar, Simran, Yogi Babu, Mithun Jaishankar, Kamlesh, M. S. Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak, Pax Bhagavathy Perumal, Ilango Kumaravel, Sreeja Ravi and many others. The cinematography of this film is by Arvind Viswanathan and the music is composed by Shawn Roldan. Bharat Vikraman is responsible for the editing work and Raj Kamal is the art director. This film, which focuses on the lives of Eelam refugees who take refuge in Tamil Nadu, has been jointly produced by producers Nazareth Basliyan-Mahesh Raj Basliyan and Yuvaraj Ganesan under the banner of Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment.
The music and preview launch of the film, which will be released in theaters worldwide on May 1st, was held in Chennai. Producers Mahesh Raj Basliyan, Yuvaraj Ganesan, director Abhishan Jeevind, hero Sasikumar, actor Mithun Jaishankar, music composer Shawn Roldan, and lyricist Mohan Rajan attended the event.
Lyricist Mohan Rajan said, “This stage is a very important stage for me. The song ‘Jilla Vithi Jilla Vandu..’ featured in the film ‘Eelam’ was removed from the film for which we wrote it. After that, a year later, music composer James Vasanthan called me and said, ‘The song ‘Jilla Vithi Jilla Vandu’ is featured in the film Eesan. Sasikumar sir really liked that song.’ I was very happy. Those moments are still fresh in my mind. After introducing me to Sasikumar at James Vasanthan’s studio, he congratulated me by saying, ‘His song is excellent.’ I will never forget that life. That song became a symbol for me.
After that, someone in Yuvan sir’s studio met me and promised me that if I get involved in film production, I will give you a chance. He was the producer Yuvaraj Ganesan. He also gave me the opportunity to write all the songs in the film ‘Good Night’ that he produced. I am proud to have worked in this film in which Sasikumar is the hero. As soon as I was told that Sasikumar is the hero of this film, I decided to write the songs for this film as a thank you. Similarly, director Abhishan has also taken the story as told. He has created it well. We can only celebrate a film when it is made well. The director of this film, Abhishan, is a small boy. However, he will become a great director. We are very happy to have Sasikumar in the film. Another producer, Mahesh Raj, was also supportive of us.
Music composer Shawn Roldan will sing a song on the terrace. The song is popular on YouTube. I am a big fan of that song. I was eagerly waiting to work with him. We worked together in the film ‘1947’ directed by Pon Kumar. We worked together in the film ‘Goodnight’. All the songs in that film were successful. I am very happy. The experience of working with him for a song is special. I am a big fan of his speech.

Director Abhishan Jeevind said, ” While studying in school, I was thinking that directing a film was my goal. After a point, I started writing the story without working with anyone. The producers listened to the story I wrote without any hesitation. My first thanks to the producers Mahesh and Yuvaraj for giving me the opportunity after listening to the story.
After listening to the story of the first half of the film, producer Yuvaraj gave me the confidence to make the film. That moment was amazing.
I decided that Sasikumar would be the hero of the film and went to meet him to tell the story. When I told him the story, he did not show any reaction. After that, I got a little tired. That evening, producer Yuvaraj called and said that Sasikumar sir liked the story. I was very happy then.
The producers provided excellent technical artists to work with as a team in this film. The first among them is Shawn Roldan. Without his music, this film would not exist. If I get any praise from this film, 50 percent of it goes to Shawn Roldan. He has worked so hard on this film.
The experience of working with Mohan Rajan was thrilling. He was the one who gave meaning to the word ‘mugai mahaali’. I learned a lot from Shawn Roldan and Mohan Rajan.

I have admired Sasikumar as a director and an actor from many angles. I have not had the opportunity to work with him yet. I have been associated with the film Tourist Family. I am happy to be associated with him in this film. Lyricist Mohan Rajan is my dear friend and the song featured in his film Eesan is also his. For that, I thank you once again.
