Nayanthara’s Airaa trailer promises to be a nervy horror flick


Nayanthara’s ardent fan following is unmatched by any other contemporary south actresses today. Holding an unprecedented appellation “The Lady Super Star”, she promises to reach the expectations of her fans with every consecutive film especially with her woman-centric films. Now, as the trailer of the much-awaited film “Airaa” receives an immensely positive response like never before, it seems to lock another sure-shot blockbuster for her after Kolamavu Kokila and Imaikkaa Nodigal’s success.

Taking a glimpse into the Airaa trailer, it opens with an intriguing question “Have you heard of Bhavani?” which seems to trigger your expectations on the movie. Also, the ongoing scenes reveal Nayan's character first of the two as a YouTube content creator who sets out to film a fake paranormal video to spike her popularity on the platform and that’s where the twist strikes the flow.

Then comes the intro of Bhavani (second role), and quirky back-story runs by with an engaging bgm till the end and we hear the voice-over of a woman who vows vengeance for yet unknown Amudha.

Interestingly a butterfly motif appears in several frames through-out the trailer and a glass panel in the end, giving space to the speculations and predictions. Here, the trailer cut gives a peek into the layers of the story that are served engagingly amidst the horror nodes and so, likely they seem to hold the interest of the audience till the movie release and make it a sure-shot box-office success thereafter.

As the movie is ready to hit the worldwide screens on 28 th March, Music Director Sundaramurthy K.S, Director Sarjun KM; Echarikkai: Idhu Manithargal Nadamadum Idam (Maa and Lakshmi short films) fame, Producers Kotapadi J Rajesh and Maheshwara Reddy Writer Priyanka Ravindran, Editor Karthik Jogesh, Co-stars Kalaiyarasan, Yogi Babu, Jayaprakash and Malayalam fame Kulappulli Leela are very confident about the success along with Nayanthara herself.

Interestingly, Producer Maheswara Reddy has planned an own release for the Telugu version, with the trust on the lady super star’s phenomenal market in Telugu states and the story that has got everything to be a successful venture for him.

However, drooping limelight on Nayanthara’s acting mettle; Airaa is all set for a multi-lingual worldwide release in 300+ theatres, which is so far the biggest release in her entire career. On a lighter note, Airaa is going to bash Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s multi starrer super deluxe in Kollywood market, releasing on the following day.
