Due to the ongoing TFPC strike, shooting of many movies came to a halt from 16 March. However shooting of Vijay’s upcoming flick with A R Murugadoss continued to take place in the city.
Clarifying this, TFPC secretary SS Durairaj said that exception was given for shooting of ‘Thalapathy 62’ as choreographers Ram- Lakshman do not have dates for the next two months.
He further said the Nadodigal 2 and Kannum Kannum Kollai Adithal teams have also been given exception.
This will be the third film in the ARM- Vijay combo after Thuppakki and Kaththi. The flick will be bankrolled by Sun Pictures.
The last film that was produced by Sun Pictures was superstar Rajinikanth’s Enthiran, one of India’s most expensive projects in 2010.
Sources said that there are plans to release the Vijay movie during Deepavali 2018.
