The hit combination of director M Rajesh and Santhanam has given many memorable movies including Siva Manasula Sakthi till Vaasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga.
The movies were successful mostly because of the humour element in them. However, after Santhanam turned hero, he refused to act as a comedian.
In the meantime, Kadavul Irukkan Kumaru directed by Rajesh did not fare well in the box office. Last year it was reported that the duo will be joining hands for another flick in which Santhanam will play the lead.
It was said that Shri Thenandal Films will bankroll the film. However the production house backed out of the project. Following this, now Prabhu Deva has agreed to produce the project under his home banner.
Details of the cast and crew of the film are expected to be officially announced soon.
