Samantha, who was signed to play the female lead in Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming flick, has joined the crew recently.
Directed by Ponram, the film is yet to be titled and the project was formally launched on 16 June.
The movie is being bankrolled by 24AM Studios and is slated to be released in early 2018.
Recently, the satellite rights of the film were bagged by Sun TV.
It may be noted that usually TV channels buy the rights only after watching the movie, however in this case the shooting of the movie has just begun and the film is just in the early stages of the making.
The star cast also includes Simran, Napolean and Soori.
