CBI to probe Kalabhavan Mani’s death

In a sudden twist of events, the Kerala High Court has ordered a CBI inquiry in the death of actor Kalabhavan Mani.

The verdict was given today after the investigation agency denied to take up the case stating that they already had too much cases at hand.

The actor died in a private hospital in Kochi in March 2016. While it was said that he passed away due to a prolonged ailment, his relatives raised suspicion about his death.

The family suspected foul play by Mani’s close aides Vipin, Murugan and Arun who were later taken in custody by police.

The lab results also confirmed the presence of insecticide in the liquor which he had consumed before being admitted to the hospital.
