RUM Movie Review

Spooky adventure thrillers are not new to Kollywood and joining the long list is Rum starring Hrishikesh.

What makes this flick different from others is the engaging story telling along with commercial ingredients to entertain as well.

Hrishikesh and his team comprising of Sanchita Shetty, Vivek, Amzath Khan and Arjun Chidambaram, make their living through burglary.

The gang comes to know about a place where precious stones were buried under the ground and get stuck in a mystery house. They try to steal it.

However they get themselves in to trouble as the house is haunted. How did they get out of the place and were they able to find the precious stones forms the crux of the story.

The lead actors Hrishikesh, Sanchita and Vivek have performed exceptionally well, however Miya George outsmarts them with her intriguing performance and reveals one of the major twists in the flick .

The biggest setback is the story content that cannot hold the attention of the audience. It is predictable and the narration at times lacks clarity.

Anirudh who has ventured in horror genre for the first time has given and gripping soundtrack.

Overruling the flaws Rum is an adventurous ride
