Samuthirakani’s Aan Devathai distribution acquired by SPI Cinemas

Aan Devathai A hard-hitting realistic film that gets a big deal now
Gone are those days, when a film would be acclaimed as a ‘Masterpiece’, ‘Art Film’ or ‘Film Festival movie’. The contemporary league of audiences is open to such a realistically appealing movie like ‘Aan Devathai’, which has struck the gold of huge appreciations with the visual promos itself. Now, an additional delight occurs with a famous banner clasping the Tamil Nadu Theatrical rights.

“There were times, when certain good quality films sans routine commercial elements would be produced or clasped for theatrical rights for self satisfaction. But apparently, the seasons have changed and bleak scenarios have vitiated with audiences welcoming them with love and warmth to the extent of making them box office winners,” says M. Marimuthu of New RSM Film Productions, who has acquired the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of this film. He justifies his statement with few more acclaims, “I have always remained in awe of Samuthirakani for his earnest attempts to either direct, produce or be a part of social themed films. I admire his motto ‘A good society is the result of good family in home’ that are conveyed in every film. The way he projects how the future generation should be groomed is the current need of hour. I am sure, ‘Aan Devathai’ will carry forth the beautiful message crafted by filmmaker Thamira along with realistic performance of Samuthirakani.”

He credits wholehearted appreciations to producer Bakkrudeen of Sigaram Cinemas. “With a studio named ‘Sigaram’ with the image of legendary director K Balachandar sir’s image, it cannot be a better adoration than making a strong spellbinding movie,” tots up Marimuthu.

Ramya Pandian is playing the female lead role in this film and there are more prominent actors as well included. The musical score by Ghibran, who is more familiar for ‘Emotional Intensifiers’ will leave no stone unturned for this film and not to miss the top-notch filmmaker-cinematographer Vijay Milton cranking the camera.

With the City distribution acquired by SPI Cinemas, the official word on the film’s release would be made shortly.
