Vishal postpones Vanamagan Release to June 23

Actor Jayam Ravi’s Vanamgan has been cleared by the censor with a clean U certificate.

However the makers have postponed the release of the movie from 19 May following a request made by Vishal.

Explaining about the decision, director and producer of the flick AL Vijay said that the decision has been made keeping the larger interest of the Tamil Film industry in mind.

‘Though we were ready to release the film on 19 May, Tamil Film Producers Council President Thiru Vishal have advised us not to release the film, as the Tamil film industry is planning for a shut down of new films release and shooting from 30 May, which will leave hardly 11 days for the film in theaters. Even our distributors have cautioned against releasing the film without this clarity on the proposed strike. We are left with no option other than postponing the film’s release to June 23, 2017,’ he said in a press statement.

The film has Saayesha Saigal playing the female lead and music is by Harris Jayaraj.
