Popular director hits out at the National awards jury

AR Murugadoss who is known to make movies with a social message has now left a strong message to the National awards jury.

The 64th National film awards were announced yesterday by the Union Information & Broadcasting Ministry.

Tamil films won six awards- three for Suriya’s 24, two for Joker and one for Dharmadurai. Apart from this. producer-columnist G Dhananjayan won the National Award for Best Film Critic.

Even as the awards were announced there were talks of the jury being biased. And Murugadoss took a bold move and posted about it in his twitter account.

‘#NationalAwards Can clearly witness the influence & partiality of people in jury, it’s biased,’ he tweeted.

However, Priyadharshan who headed the jury has denied the allegations and said that the awards were given based on performances and not of partiality.
