The audio launch of Kaatru Veliyidai took place today in a simple yet a star studded event.
While three songs from the movie were already released as singles one by one, the entire album was released today along with a new trailer of the flick.
Talking during the event Maniratnam said that Rahman has not changed much even after 25 years and still works on every film as if it is his first, despite achieving so much.
“The 25 years of musical journey with Rahman has been amazing and he and Vairamuthu sir have to tolerate me for many more years to come. So I will ask Rahman before everyone, when can we start composing for our next film,” he said on a lighter note.
The music composer who was introduced by Mani Ratnam in Roja said that the director was his biggest blessing.
“If I look back, I feel very grateful for the love and everything that I received from the people of Tamilnadu. ‘Ella pughalum iraivanuke’,” he said in his trade mark style.
Celebrities including actor Surya, the lead pair of the films Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari were also present during the event.
