Audio launch of Vijay Antony’s Saithan took place at a star studded event in Chennai today.
This is the next venture of the actor- music director after his blockbuster Pichaikaaran.
Talking during the event, Prasad who bagged the Telugu rights for Pichaikaran titled Bichagadu said that the movie fetched more than Rs 30 crore.
‘I paid mere Rs 45 lakh for the dubbing rights and I got such huge returns. This is one of the biggest collections for a dubbed movie,’ he said.
Saithan has also been dubbed in Telugu as Bethaladu and the rights have been acquired by Sivakumar. A separate audio launch for the Telugu version will be held in Hyderabad tomorrow.
The movie is said to be a psychological thriller and is directed by Pradeep Krishnamoorthy in which Arundhathi Nair plays the female lead role.
