For the first time, Dhanush has acted in dual role in ‘Kodi’ which has released today.
The movie is based on the politics in a village and the battle for power between lovers.
Karunas who wants to become a politician is not able to do so. Because of his inability, he immolates himself for the party during a protest against a factory polluting the village.
Karunas has twin sons Kodi and Anbu (both played by Dhanush). While Anbu becomes a professor, Kodi becomes a politician.
In a sudden turn of events, Kodi finds that the factory for which his father died is still.not cleaned completely and his party was behind it.
When he meets his party leader regarding rhe issue, he is made the candidate for his constituency in the by-election.
Opposing him in the opposite party is his childhood love Rudra ( Trisha). Who.wins the elections what happens next forms the rest of the story.
Dhanush as usual has shown variety in his acting skills, He has played both the characters- as a skillful angry politician and a calm professor- in a neat way.
Trisha with negative shades has chilled the audience and shown the other side of her acting skills.
The movie directed by R S Durai Senthilkumar has kept the audience engaged and has given a good political entertainer.
Santhosh Narayanan has shown that he has it in him to do commerical.scoring too. His BGM elevates the mood.of the movie.
