Prabhu Deva who was last seen as an actor in ‘Engal Anna’, is back with ‘Devi(L)’, after 12 years.
Apart from Prabhudeva, the film has Sonu Sood and Tamanaah in lead roles while R H Balaji, Sathish and Nassar play supporting characters.
The movie which comes under the horror-comedy genre is about Krishna (Prabhu Deva) working in Mumbai city who wants to marry a ultra modern girl but ends up marrying Devi from a town.
Post marriage Krishna sees abnormal conduct of Devi and finds out that she is possessed by a ghost who wanted to be an actress. How does he get rid of the spirit forms the rest of the story.
Prabhu Deva is at his best displaying various emotions while Tamannah has played the town girl character elegantly, and the possessed character with glamour. She has excelled in dancing too.
Cinematography by Manush Nandan is satisfying and Anthony’s editing is crisp .
The movie is jointly produced by Prabhudeva and Dr K Ganesh under Prabhudeva Studios banner. Director A L Vijay has come out with a decent show.
