MaxCure Hospitals, in association with Pratyusha Support and Jeevandaan, has organized an Organ Donation initiative at Hotel Trident, Hitech City, Madhapur yesterday to address the growing need of organ donation. As per the latest reports, more than 5 lakh Indians lose their lives due to failure of major functioning organs. They all want to live longer, but cannot due to non-availability of organs for transplantation One organ donor can save more than 8 lives in his lifetime by donating his well-functioning organs.
The event was graced by Sri Anurag Sharma IPS, Director General of Police, Telangana State Police, Ms. Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Founder – Pratyusha Support & Popular Cine Actress, Dr. M. Ramani, Director of Medical Education, Telangana and Sri Pullela Gopichand, Badminton Champion & Coach. This noble initiative was the brainchild of doctors and staff of the MaxCure Group spearheaded by Dr. A. Sharath Reddy, Dr. A. Krishna Prasad, Dr. M.S.S. Mukharjee and Dr. K. Narasaraju, and supported by all the 150 super-specialist consultants. Apart from being the torchbearers of this very important initiative, they also pledged to donate their organs which is a remarkable feat.
