Radiopetti is a Tamil Movie runs for 83mins, directed by Hari Viswanath, a debut filmmaker from Chennai. Being the first Tamil film to won an award in Busan International film festival under New Currents competition category.

This award is given to the film that gained most acclaimed from festival audiences, among the films introduced in the New Currents section.

The Story is between a vintage radio & an old man. The Love for radio listening has been disrupted by his son and feeling of the old man for his lost radio(given by his father) and pleasure of hearing the sounds of the radio and turbulence’s caused by this in his family and office, depicts this movie.

Harry Toonz Studio produced this independent movie with the help through the source from friends. This film was shot in Puducherry and Chennai. With all new cast, Lakshmanan a stage artiste done as an old man along with Shobana Mohan as his wife and Ramanujam as his friend, also stage artiste. Nivas Adithan an upcoming artiste who has acted in Kakka Muttai and Ula have acted as son.

Music is composed by Richard Ford, a British music composer from London, who has done films in Britain. The background score was recorded in his studio Cookie creek in London. Realistic visuals were captured by cinematographer Saravanan Natrajan, a former associate of DOP Velraj. Suresh Selvarajan, a production designer for the Hindi film “Brothers (starring Akshay Kumar)” has worked in this movie.
